Expedition Power

Hey, is the acceleration going to be improved anymore on the new model with a 6 speed? Whats the difference?

I don't think the ratios of the tranny have been posted anywhere. That would help in at least guessing as to its performance.

I dont think so I have driven the 05 Navigator which has this trans already and it feels about the same just smoother than the 4 speed and MPG is worse in the nav, buy 1 mpg.

the 05 navi has the old 6 speed. this new 6 speed will replace both the lincoln 6 speed and the ford 4 speed.

Doesn't matter what transmission Ford uses.

The Spec's are posted here on FTE first gear is 4.17 to 1 that should help get this beast moving pretty good for it's weight.

Has it that Ford "may" adapt Super Duty Engines to the Extended version...

I was kind of hoping for the 300 6 with 4.56 gears and 2-speed axle.

4.17:1 1st will definately see an improvement in performance...even if only subtle.
