How much is your insurance?

This topic came up in the "Roll Call" section, and I figured it'd be neat to see it in its own little thread.

State your age, sex, vehicle, whether or not you've been in an accident, if you get a "good student discount", and how much a month your insurance is.

Like I stated in the other post, Im an 18 year old male, and the insurance on my 91 Ranger has been $42 and some odd change per month. Never been in any wrecks, and I get the good student discount.

I also have a 95 F-150 with a 351W, dead E4OD tranny, soon to be swapped out for a ZF heavy duty manual 5 speed, and I paid roughly 100 a month. I dropped the insurance since the forward clutches are locked up, and I'm not goin anywhere with it!

18 year old male, 1 minor accident at 16, one speeding ticket at 16 (but I don't think they added for that, according to my bill)
1997 Ranger, liability and comprehensive, no collision

When I was living at home, in MA, it was $2100/year (I save $5/month by paying lump-sum). Because I've taken the truck to Maine (which has MUCH cheaper rates) the stupid sons of guns RAISED my insurance $400. I really need to switch the registration up up here...

This is equal to $6.57 EVERY DAY of the year.

(I don't have collision because with the mileage, one year's worth would be more than the value of the truck. After the deductable, there was almost no way it would have been to my advantage.)

EDIT: I don't get a good student discount because I'm too stupid and lazy to call and do it.

18, no accidents, and I drive a 1996 Volkswagen Cabrio(don't ask i know its a chick car) and my insurance is $1000 a year with no student discount. This is in Pennsylvania. I can't wait to find out what ridiculous sum I'll be paying for the 1973 F-250 4x4 with the 360 in it after dad and I finish restoring it.

You won't pay much for the ol truck. It's old, solid, and not worth much to the insurance companies (Although it may be a treasure to you.)

22, male, 2004 F150, spotless record, $1700 a year for insurance. No student discount becuase I only pull part time credit-hours. That plus taxes and a monthly payment aint worth it, probably sell it when the '78 is done

My '87 cost me less than half, and was about $13 a year in taxes

17 going on 18 year old, male, in Iowa. I have both my vehicles insured under leisure vehicles, and it is completely legal to do it that way.Unfortunately since the vehicles are under my name, but they are leisure vehicles, I cannot get the "good student/driver discount". But I haven't had an accident. My brother-in-law works at the company I get my insurance through, and he found the loop hole that I could register both under leisure vehicles.
My 54 Ford F100 street rod is an agreed upon value at $35,000(comprehensive, collision, under/un-insured driver, the works) and it is only $52/month and my Contour SVT(comprehensive, collision, & under/un-insured driver) is now $65/month after my most recent speeding "notice".

$1100/year (I'm registered as primary driver on my parents plan) on my 95 xlt f-150. prolly has to do with the 351W and the 4x4...

I got one speeding ticket (in the dag gone minivan!!!) 44 in a 25... didn't get any points... but was a hefty sum. The magistrate was "reluctant" to take off the points. Insurance didn't go up tho.

oh and that's with PLPD... blah... don't know if I get a good student discount, but I sure did make sure to call them and tell them to give me that air bag and ABS discount the second I found out we weren't getting it!

I think the "leisure vehicle" insurance only applies if you have Allied Insurance like I have, I don't know about any other companies. I just know thats what it says on my card, I would imagine if you just ask for it you will get it.

I am a 24 year old male who is married. Full coverage on my 2002 Ford Focus is around $120 per month. That should go down when I turn 25. No accidents or tickets.
