Question Better Mileage-Replace the Chip or Air Intake?

I've got a 2005 PSD F-250, 4x4, crew. The mileage isn't terrible, but I'd like better. Half the people I talk to tell me to put in the Super Chip for added power & better mpg. Others say that replacing the air intake system would be much cheaper & give me the same results.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks, John

Crash687 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
the stock air filter is probably the best combination of flow verses particulate removal.(meaning it flows real good) may want to consider the Zodad mod(searchable on this site) it allow more cold air into the airbox.
The one downside to programmers is you usually put your foot into more and there goes your MPG. If the truck is still new, give a good 20K to break in and track your milage by hand don't rely on the lie-o-meter.

Don't see how a chip can add power and not use more fuel. More fuel delivery equals more power.
