bought new. in 96 ford ranger 4 wheel drive.3.0 now has 130k on it.here a couple of weeks ago .i noticed after it shifted into overdrive it started missing like a spark plug wire came off .but runs fine at idle and taking off at the lights runs fine .or when you put your foot on the brake and give it gas .it will start missing had new plugs put in 4000 miles ago.think maybe the plugs are bad already? or maybe it needs new spark plug wires and what brand is better . a friend told me that borg warner has a good plug wire set. is this true?any advise on what i could do thanks. There is a good chance the problem is the plug wires. I have had good luck with plug wires from NAPA, made by Beldon. Next question, what kind of plugs
did you install? If they are Bosch, replace them with Motorcraft platinums, and replace the wires.....good luck!!
not sure what they put in for plugs I will look or pull one monday and see .i hope autolite ag sf 32 fm.oriellys parts store has autolite plug wires for $46.99 and the plugs 32 fm for $ 3.99 each sounds like a good deal to me.thanks for your help.Rick
