looking to buy and convert a '92 F-350 diesel to SVO
hello, I'm interested in buying a '92 F-350 to run on either svo or wvo or even biodiesel. I'm reading alot about how to make the biodiesel and to use vo as a strait fuel. Are there problems with converting the 350 or are the conversions of injectors, glow plugs, fuel heaters and the such really requiered for the 350 to operate properly? I know that it has dual fuel tanks so doing a start/stop on petro-diesel would not be a problem.

Ive heard its best to have a heater for the fuel tanks and even a temperature gauge to keep it around 130 degrees . It will prevent the WVO from becoming thick and or hardening and clogging up your injectors, etc. Also make sure you properly filter the WVO and take steps to remove any water. Im thinking of putting my flatbed on my f150 and maybee even the engine etc later on if thats even possible. If anyone knows please help with any input..

The pre-PSD Fords are simple to convert and hold up well. Take a look at the article over in the article section on this forum Can a Diesel run on Veggie Oil
