Auto to Manual Hubs - COMPLETE
Got the Mile Marker Stainless Steel Hubs installed today. These things are stout and they fit very nicely.
Install was extremely easy. A few simple tools and your done. I didn't even have time to finish a beer before they were installed.
Here's the complete write up for anybody that is looking to do them. It's a 1.4 Meg MS Word document.

Yes, you can do it without removing the tire. The only thing holding the auto hub on it the retaining clip. Just squeeze the clip, the auto hub can be pulled out and the new manual hubs can slide in.
I had to take the tire off because of the center caps on my wheels and also so i could get better photos of the parts.

Cool.
If somebody wants to put it in a tech section, that's fine. I just wanted to put it up so other folks could see that it is a VERY SIMPLE operation.
I was actually ticked that I wasn't cussing at my truck for once. It didn't give me enough time to stand around, drink a beer, and think of things to hit with a hammer.

Thanks!
Thanks!
The only reason I'm saying that is that axle switch from the D50 to the D60 in '02.

Excellent write up! I recently replaced the auto hubs on my '97 F250 with Warns. I was going to cap off my vacuum lines, but I can't find them. In your photo, 3 lines are clearly shown, but I can only see one line running to the wheel area of my truck, and that's the brake line. Does anyone know if the vacuum lines to the auto hubs on the '97 models were run differently?? I have a Dana 50 axle. Thanks!!
