Hey gang, I posted Saturday for the first time about my 99 Expedition that started to just run like crap. Well found out why, what we thought was fuel related (because that's what the codes showed) turned out to be a stuck valve which turn into a mess. Long story shortened some I am now in the market for a new motor. I have found a company on the web Power Pro Driveline that has a reman with 5 yr 100k warranty for 2919 plus core charge. Any ideas on this company from any of you? Also am I limited to the 5.4 that was in it or since I have to replace it can I have a little fun in the process, like maybe a Lightning?

Ok newer twist. Found a motor, 2000 model, 53k miles going to swap them since mine seems to be shelled. Any headaches I need to be aware of before we start on this?

 

I think if you do a search in the super duty or ex forum there is a thread that shows how to pull the engine by lifting the body, really neat thread to read, it looks to be an easy way to do this engine swap since the engine sits so far back in the engine compartment.
