Is this true? and how much boost can it take? i have found 4 brands that have around 6-10 pounds of boost. i want all it can take safely, with out destoying the engine. can any one help?

For a start - Welcome to FTE!!!

I see no reason why a V10 couldn't handle 6-10lbs of boost. However if you were going for one that makes 10lb of boost I would lower the CR.

Yeah, sorry, Compression Ratio.
You can lower it by having thicker head gaskets made. The only reason I suggest this is to prevent pinging, the V10 will still be able to handle the higher cylinder pressures, but whether it will cause pre detonation of not (even with premium) is the main question.

Reading the post from the V10 forum, re-gear your truck if you haven't done so. You will get a BIG improvment over what you have in it now. Go with 5.38s and you will be good.

Mach 1, he is running 42 inch tires. With those size tires, 5.38s will put him close to the 4.30 range which is the sweet spot for the modular engines.

I've got a whipple installed running about 8lbs of boost at sea level. Also running SCT programmer, Methanol/water injection, and 4.56 gears on 37" tires. Drop me a line and I'll try to help with what I can. I've also put the truck on the dyno. So I have some data too.
