A different power steering topic

This one is for the 4x4 guys who went with Toyota power steering boxes. I'm looking at a '90 IFS truck box (I think it's off a 4Runner), and was just wondering, what are the odds that my pitman arm will work on it? Not good?

My (stock) manual box has a pretty big drop pitman arm on it, and I'd need that drop or something really close to keep the drag link parallel with the track bar. So, assuming my current pitman arm won't work, anyone know of a source for dropped arms that will fit that Toyota box?

I believe Superlift makes a drop arm for that. I ran across a few different ones when looking for the Nissan box in my 72.

How far do you need to drop it? I used the box off a 87 Toyota 4x4 pick-up and used the stock pitman arm that came with it. My truck is a 66 F-100, and have had no problems with it.

Well the current one drops about 5 inches (truck is lifted about 4"). After looking around, it doesn't really look like I'm going to find one. Ah well, I'll get the box anyway, maybe I can mount it low and change the track bar mount to make it parallel with the drag link. The pitman arm that comes with the box has a little drop to it too, we'll see what happens.

(Then there is this other "pipe dream scenario", wherein my current pitman arm fits right on the Toyota box. Also, it starts raining 100 dollar bills, what the heck. )
