March 5th Topics

Hey, what's everybody got for topics to discuss at the March 5th gathering? I just wanted to try and get some notes together for all of us for our get together. One thing that was emailed to me is that the Virginia chapter would like to do a gathering combining both chapters. I'll keep in contact with their chapter leader to get as much as I can for us to discuss.
Any other ideas?

Well I would the main thing I would say would be a date set for meetings & how often we would meet and also Club officers.I think that combining chapters would have to be discussed with everyone.

I think another thing would be to set up future meeting places at events. Maybe we could meet at a car show or swap meet or whatnot. Club Officers is another, plus we could discuss tips and tricks dealing with our trucks, also places to find those hard-to-find parts we have.

Also maybe we can set up truck shows around NC at Ford dealers,to help promote the NC FTE Chapter and recruite new members.

Also gettogethers at members houses to help them repair their trucks also?

It would be pretty cool to have older truck shows at different ford dealerships. it would make people interested in NCFTE if they saw a bunch of old fords sitting aorund, maybe have a banner hanging somewhere announcing it?

It's coming together. Oh, and just to clear up the topic I posted above...the Virginia Chapter is not looking to combine chapters. FTE has offered to provide some prizes and such for gatherings between neighboring chapters, and they've asked us if we'd be interested in getting the two chapters together for this outing, and possibly make it an annual thing where we get together with them.

that would be the case on the front end of my truck, on the back end a small car would just end up knocking loose my rear differential.

I have the same problem with my rightquarter panel. I went in for a beer with the guys, and came out with a large indent in the quarter. And I won't ever go anywhere without my hitch on the back. I've come out twice (same parking lot) and found people pressed up against the hitch. No matter how far away I park, they all seem to find me.
SO now I only drive the copany car there...

i always figured that if someone was gonna hit my truck i would just respond with a big ole boot print right on the hood of their car. might learn em to leave other peoples vehicles alone and learn em how to park!
