oil change?
i have a 05 v10 that has been in the garage for about 6 months...it has about 1500 mi and i changed the oil at 1k last fall...i am going to start it up this week and wanted to get some opinions on what i should do...should i change the oil or is the oil still good?...i now it is not 'fresh' but i heard oil doesnt degrade like gas and such...if i change the oil should i start it first and let it warm up or change and start? any other tips or suggestions

You will be fine without changing the oil now. I have a couple old cars that I only drive in the summer. I change the oil once a year in the fall before going into storage. The biggest problem I have is moisture buildup in the oil. If you have to change it for peace of mind, drive it a few miles first to get any dirt suspended in the oil good.

With a only 500 miles on that motor oil and 1500 total miles on the motor, I'd bet that there could be a pretty good percentage of fuel dilution and condensation that could have set in that pan for 6 months.
You could prolly get away with not changing it, but I'd dump it. You wouldn't have to change the filter, IMO.
