Welcome to the forum
I like the Haynes manuals for a repair book. Most AutoZones and other auto parts stores have them.

I've found the Haynes manuals to be hit or miss depending on the vehicle but the on I have for my 97 F150 seems pretty good.

I have a Haynes for my 00 F-150. I'd like to find a Chiltons as well.

I've found that having both is great. Seems that Chiltons gets a little more involved on some things.

Ford Service manuals on cd
Best by far, purchased two cd's, one for 97 and another for my 02 on ebay..
$5-$10 each. Ford service manuals, like the shops use.
