Look on the radiator crossmember. This is the broad crossmember that is between the frame rails that the radiator support sits on. It should be stamped on it.

Sometimes the VIN will be stamped on the crossmember, they are also often found on top of the frame rails ahead of the cab. You might have to do some wire brushing or a quick wash with water or a little oil to see the stamping. Have you checked for a rating plate in the glove box or on the glove box door?

Didnt see a rating plate in the glove box, and the truck had a GM front clip installed before I bought the truck.

Did you locate it?

If you haven't, here is a pic that may or may not help. That big "U" shaped vertical piece in front of the engine is the radiator support. That member it is bolted on to, the piece that stretches to the frame rails.......that is the piece that should have your VIN stamped on it. Stand in front of your truck, facing the engine. The vin should be stamped somwhere on that on the lower right. I would look over every inch of that crossmember, however. This is where it was located on my '53. I wish I had a better picture handy, but I don't. Hopefully this will help. Keep us posted.
