Exclamation Body lift steering problem

I put a 3" body lift on my truck today and now the steering knuckle nearest the firewall is at such an angle that the steering is binding. Is there any fix for this?? Please help...I love the lift and just need to fix the steering problem now...

Can you grind the knuckle to accomadate the steeper angle? If not it may take a double joint. http://www.flamingriver.com/index.cf...cat/cat115.htm

steering

hello i have lifted many of these era trucks you should have got a steering extension as someone else said as for grinding id have to say no and just get the extension you dont want you steering to fail while driving and grinding could weaken it and bigger tires even add more stress to the whoile thing

Smile Steering...

I actually did it alot easier and cheaper. All I did was took out the 6 bolts that hold the plate on the firewall that the steering column goes through and dropped it down. Drilled and re-bolted, resealed, and good as new!
