Hood weight?
When I weigh out at the scrap yard, My '76 F150 2wd, longbed, 390, weighs 4600 lbs. thats with me and some other weight (tools, ect.) in it. I'd say without the extra weight in it, it would probably weigh around 4300 lbs.
I'd guess a hood probably weighs about 100 - 150 lbs. I know when your trying to put one on its darn heavy.

Hood weight?
LAST EDITED ON 03-May-01 AT 10:44 AM (EST)[p]I'd bet that the hood weight is closer to around 75#. I've never actually weighed one, but if I can wrap my paws around one and haul it behind the house without any help, it can't be too heavy. I've actually even gone solo with a removal before (not enough patience to wait around for others to help).

Hood weight?
I think the next question should be, is there any company that manufacture fiberglass hoods? Or better yet a 1 piece fiberglass front clip, that includes hood, fenders, and front facia.

Hood weight?
I'm just guessing, but the hood weighs about a million pounds! That's just about 1/2 of what the stock intake manifold weighs! You may be the first person in history to use the words "lightweight" and "Ford truck" in the same sentence. I think my 74 is about 30 pounds lighter than the Titanic! But I love it just the same.
