I guess that means that even early orders won't be seen by customers until late August or early Sept?

Since the order banks will open on 5/1 I guess the order guide will finally be coming out sometime soon... anyon have any idea when?

So here's the million dollar question... based on the dates that nckracer posted, when would be the best time to order one so that I can get it as early as possible, but also so that I let enough of them roll off the line that they have worked out the new model year kinks and I am less likely to get a problem vehicle!

jscozz,

I don't have a good answer for you on that one. I can tell you that I ordered my '05 Expy the first day they took orders and I haven't had a bit of trouble with it.

I can also tell you I will be ordering an '07 Expedition EL EB on May 1st. The worst part about ordering early, is the dealer usually doesn't even have pricing yet. My dealer has always sold to me well below invoice, so I,m not too worried about that. It would be nice to know some of the pricing on the new options such as the larger DVD touchscreen navigation, Larger DVD entertainment system, and the auto opening rear door. I have heard rumors that the EL version will run 2500 to 3000 more than the standard length.

Dan,

Do you know, based on the VIN, how many were built before yours?

Jeff,

The VIN on mine ends in A00468. I'm not sure how many were built before it as prototype and show vehicles which are not retailed also carry a VIN #. I am sure it was one of the first 500 production vehicles built.

Is it "any day" yet. Man, this is taking forever. I hope Ford surprises us with something good.

My sincere apologies for the "any day" comment. Ford is really dragging their heels on this one! At last check, May 1st is still the initial order date and the last time I knew, you can't order without an order guide.

With one week before orders are accepted, can I still use the "any day" quote??

Sorry nckracer, I didn't mean the "any day" comment in a bad way. I just can't believe it's taking Ford so long to come out with the order guide.

I am so excited to order my new 2007 Expedition on Monday!!!!! Oh.. I forgot... FORD HASN'T TOLD ME WHAT MY CHOICES ARE YET!!!! I guess it is like a quick pick lottery ticket this year... I should let them randomly pick options and hope I like it!

On the serious side... I checked last year's order guide and the cover sheet was dated 3/29/05 and the pages were dated 5/1/05. May be Monday is the day we will get a peak?

Polar,

Where can I view them?

I did see that the XLS and the King Ranch will not be offered as an '07 Model.
