Smog Test

Well it that time again to get my 77 with a 351 M smog.Last time it passed easy I don't know why but I am a little consurned this time.Last time I had it done they said it would be the last,But Arnold fix that for us. It runs too good to fail.
This new motor only has about 20,000 miles. Any advice

I am presuming that you too, like the rest of us with a Pre-OBD II diagnostics are doomed to a "Test Only" Station.

About all you can do without a "sniffer" is to have a clean air filter, vacuum and PCV systems are working as they should, your gas tank cap has a good seal (yes they test that too) and it is properly tuned.

That, and make sure your truck is fully warmed up when you arrive for the testing. If your truck has that charcoal canister for fuel tank vapor routing back to the carb, make sure it is hooked back up as well.

You'll probably be fine. Don't worry too much.
