Have You Seen This Truck?
Chuck Porter’s Chopped 1949 Ford Pickup.
I'm looking for a truck that my Dad built for his bodyshop in Hollywood in the 1950's. It's a chopped 1949 Ford Pickup. At last siting, it was orange/red with flames. You can see pictures at: http://www.debbyporter.com/chuck-por...rter-truck.jpg
It's been owned by 4 gentlemen in Tulsa, OK:
John Robinson
Herb Glock
Jim Mickle (I've talked with Jim)
Larry Stansbury
Doe anyone know how to get in touch with them, or the whereabouts of this truck?
Thank you for any information or help that you can give me,
Debby Porter

Sorry, nope. That front grill and pancaked hood would be hard to miss. I have seen maybe half a dozen F1 pickups since I've been here the last 7 years. But none that looked like that. Were you able to find the VIN? If so, you may be able to do a search on it? If you do Yahoo people search on those names it gives a few of them, scattered throughout the state. Good Luck on your search.

Back to the truck search, isn't there a classic car museum right here in Tulsa? I still haven't been to it yet?
Oh ya, It's a long shot but you might want to contact Daryl Starbird. I figure he's been around classic and custom autos for soo many decades and he has his huge rod and custom auto museum somewhere in northeast Oklahoma.

Now that we have learned that A_G is a squirt and can't spell, let's get back to the truck search once again. It seems that I have seen the truck somewhere before, most likely in pictures though, but I can't remember. Here is Daryl Starbirds museum website: http://www.darrylstarbird.com/index1.htm The museum is locted in Afton, OKlahoma. There are directions to it as well as contact information. Good luck with finding the truck.
