F250/Excursion Extended Brake lines?

Anyone know where to find some extended lines to replace or add to the stock ones for lifted rigs?

Whoops, I should rephrase the sentence. I do NOT want stainless braided lines. They crack, brake, kink, and kill people.............

Anyone have a source for longer rubber lines?

That's the first I've heard of that. In fact I've been told by brake experts quite the opposite. And in the many years I've used them on my rockcrawlers, I've definitely never experienced any of what you've described. Try a local brake shop. They can usually make you a rubber-only brakeline in whatever size you need.

Scott I think you got it backwards. Jonathan stated it correctly. Stainless braided brake lines are "required" in several forms of racing both on and off road for the very reasons you stated. They will also give you better brake pedal feel over rubber hoses. By the way the "X" looks great, but what is that thing parked next to in the driveway?!? Just busting on you!!!

I have seen numerous stainless extended lines crack and have even seen some pull apart on the trail. Have seen the results of one said incident that almost cost the life of a good friend in a really bad rollover. Not saying its going to happen, but I've seen enough failures in person that I just don't care for them. I even found a crack in one of mine on my 72' EB after I notcied some fluid on the garage floor. At least rubber lines don't pinch off if they are kinked or bent like the stainless ones do.

Here is the rollover in question:

I asked around about rubber lines and know one can seem to find any extended rubber ones. I think your best bet might be getting them custom made. As far as SS vs. Rubber, as long as they're DOT approved, it's a personal choice. I'm sure there are probably a good number of examples of line failures from both types. And both have their pro's and con's. But this thread is about finding you extended rubber lines not debating SS vs. Rubber.
