mountaineer years?
when did the mountainner start production? Was it available with the same motor as the explorer?

Most likely they were offered with the same engines as the Explorer since the Mountaineer is basically an Explorer with different styling.

ahh ook not good for the bronco II swap then (sohc engine wont work)

1997 was the first year and the motor in it was the 5.0L with AWD (possible that 2WD was offered that year but I am not sure).
