Quick question about getting a truck out of non-op status...

Good morning gentlemen. What does it take to get a truck out of non-op registration status? Do I have to go through a safety check (lights - horn - etc) or do I just go and re-register it? I've never taken one out of non-op before.

I can pick up a tasty '73 F-250 for $200.00 that's supposedly running - and non-op'd.

Thanks for your help.

You pays your money - just take the paperwork to DMV. No safety inspection, but on vehicles that require smog, you have to pass smog before they will issue the tags. (your smog exempt with a 73 model.)

I would also take my insurance information with me - they never asked me, but mine had been covered long enough for the insurance company to have the policy listed with the state.

Thank you Sir. I'll do just that.

Have a great evening.
