Temp Senders, Identification?

Can anyone help me figure out how to differentiate the 6V sender from the 12V sender that threads into a bung @ the rear of the drivers head water passage?

I believe the threads may be different?

Thx. David

temp senders

There is a good picture of temp senders and the Bung they go into on a thunderbird site. www.parts123.com
look under 55-57 thunderbirds search "temp"
I beleave the 6volt sender is longer and has two wire tabs. looks like the ones i've pulled off engines.
check out picture. it also has part numbers
