I have the same issue, only mine will go out after I drive for a while, normally after 3 minutes at the most. My problem is in my passenger door. Any help would also benefit me.

I had the same problem, but after doing a seach in this forum I found the problem and fixed it. The switch is mounted on the latching mech. Spray some WD40 into the latch on the door you are having problems with and that should fix the problem.

Spray your door contacts with WD-40 and open and close them a dozen or more times
Common problem for ford, and this worked for me Good luck

I would think the wd40 would gather dust and cause even more problems down the road, like dirt road.

Do you think a silicone spray would do the same thing as wd40. Silicone does not attract dust.

Should work just as well. You just need to free up the switch so it does not stick. Do you know which door is causing the problem?

The rear passenger door. It always seem that when that door gets opend my door ajar light comes on. I have opened it and shut (slammed) it several time and it seems to do the trick. All the other doors are fine.

I hope to have a chance to try it on Friday. We have had 11 inches of snow. Between work and plowing snow with my Ford Diesel tractor I haven't had time to do anything else.
