Something tells me that may be where the 1/2 ton market is heading. I hope not, but we'll see.
I can't imagine any manufacturer trying to sell 3/4 or 1 ton pickups that look like that, though.
The idea of concepts like this are to get feedback about charactoristics of the vehicle. Some of these charactoristics may seep into the normal future production trucks. This rampage will never see past convention centers walls.
I think it would sell well if the design was cleaned up alittle. The midgate idea is going to catch on just like the rear doors on the extended cab pickups did. If Ford offered the midgate on the new Sportrac it would have made the short bed much more usefull. Hopefully Dodge will do that on their version. Eitherway its much better looking than the new Dakota, of course thats not saying much.

“This is a truck for the person who wants the functional aspects of a truck yet doesn’t want a traditional vehicle. The Rampage has the capability of a pickup without sacrificing occupant space.”
It is an avalanche with front wheel drive and independant rear suspension. not really a bad idea on dodge's part.
