Hey yall' i am from the ohio chapter but have a cabin on cave run lake. anyone fish there or been there recently?? if you been there recently hows the lake? i am getting ready to go dwon next weekend to check on things and see how the lake is. if its nice enough i might stop and fish a while.

Haven't been there for a while. Just got a new pole last year might have to take me a trip though. A little campout for the weekend.

I live about 5 minutes from Cave Run lake and we just bought a new boat this year. I have heard that the fishing is really good right now with all the warm weather. My brothers and I bought a new pontoon boat with fishermans package with the live wells and the chairs on the very front.
its a very nice lake and i cant wait to make my first trip down there this year. the boat ramp i usually use is long bow but i have also put in at warix, banger, and salt lick.

yeah, the musky fishing is great there. it can get kind of aggrivating though because while you are bass and crappie fishing they will bite. i seen a guy catch a 35 inch musky on a bomber modle "A" crank bait. he yelled over at me and my grandfather to borrow a net. there are some nice size crappie in that lake also. i have seen some good size large mouth bass swimming around but yet to catch a good size one. i been fishing that lake for almost 20 years now.
