Transmission service

I had done my own flushes and decided at 100k miles I would let the dealer do it and replace the filter. When I called service they told me, there was no need to replace the filter that their flushing would remove any particles from the magnet. when I got to the dealer the service writer ask if I wanted the filter changed. I told him what I was told and he side stepped and said that he would let the mechanics decide. The top transmission shop around says to replace the filter on every oil change. What is correct and if the dealer can flush particles off the magnet, can this be also, do in the home garage? Are shops changing the filter for more profits or do they know more than the dealer?
Flush $120+disposal $7+tax =$133

to do a flush what they tend to do is hook a machine up and run your transismission while the machine pumps 15-20 quarts of fresh tranny fluid threw it to completly clear everything then they fill the tranny with fresh fluid now while this could clear the filter i always have mine replaced every 30,000 on my truck since explorers are kind well known for tranny problems its always better to stay on top of them ...a little money now or a lot later
