Need tips for keeping up appearance on truck

I just bought a 2003 Ranger, EDGE Model, Sonic Blue 4x4, all the options etc., etc. I was just wondering if you guys could give me some tips on keeping it looking really nice. Interior and exterior advice would be great. I already plan on washing it AT LEAST once a month, waxing every 6, and cleaning the inside and windows every week. Any advice on cleaing the interior, i.e. the dash and seats (products, etc.)? And also, washing it, i.e. what type of soap, wax, drying, etc.? Thanks in advance guys.

Gee, where to start?

-Keep it in a garage if you can
-wash MORE than once a month
-use a "quick detailer" to immediately remove bird droppings and stains - I like Meguiars
-wax every 6 weeks - not every 6 months
-use a quality car shampoo, and wash mitt - again I like Meguiars
-treat all rubber and vinyl when you wax

-vacuum weekly
-wash windows weekly
-treat/clean dash and trim monthly

Bottom line is, you get out of it what you put into it!

I second that. I also use Meguiars products, specially the 3 step wax system and the quick detailer and quick wax.

I wash mine once a week spring, summer, fall and when the weather allows in the winter.

Adding to what was said above. I swear by using a clay bar to remove contaminants on the paint. I do mine every 4-5 weeks when the weather permits. Followd by 2 coats of wax.
