Talking plug gap

hey anyone change their plug gap if they have intake upgrades. I read on a super charger site that it's usually required to reduce the gap with the amount of air being pulled. I know I am not pulling anything near as much. but just wondering. I've got a K&n air intake with the airaid throttle body spacer. whistles like a turbo. sounds great

For your application...just keep the factory recommended spark plug gap. The gap is .052 - .056 inch per my '03 SD Owners manual. But with mods to the intake...then usually more mods to the ignition anyway. The reason is to have a complete burn. I suppose it all depends on what the final objective is for the V10 in question.

The theory with tightening the gap with a blower is that the much denser air impedes the spark. So, you have to tighten the gap to get a consistent spark. Or, upgrade to a higher voltage coil, which is kinda impossible (so far).

Go by the manufacturer's gap, I doubt you've improved your volumetric efficiency enough to require changing your spark plug gap
