Smoked me a chevy!
Not to brag too much but was it ever easy. I think it was a 97-98 Z71 judging by the interior extended cab short box like mine with dual exhaust and stock tires. He pull up to the lights with me and gave it a rev and I thought what the heck, so I slammed the pedal when the light turned green and it was on. Pulled about four truck lengths ahead when we entered a corner which turned into a single lane going uphill, and I kept pulling away to my amazement until we reached another light that was red. He looked at me for quick sec but didn't want to do it again and slowly went along his merry way (hopefully he learned his lesson!). I'm not into racing my truck and have no interest to go looking for more , but I gotta say there was a huge smile on my face for the rest of the day!
Just thought I share that with you all!

i think from light to light these Fords can haul some a**, but I would'nt want to go at it for a long straight stretch with a Chev (5.3l or the 6.0l). The one I took for a test spin before my current ride and it really came to life at high rpms, my guess would be the different tourque curves of both trucks, a Ford will pull excellent from low rpms where-as the Chevy picks up in the higher range.

It is great to hear you guys are taking it to the Chevies. Are you running stock or modded up. I have a stock 02 SCrew 5.4L and My buddies 98 Chevy Tahoe woops me evertime. I am stock except for 265 tires. I believe it came stock with the 235. He has dualed pipes, but I think that is it. We stay close to about 30 then he walks away.
