The M5R2 in my 88 F150 broke recently and I need to replace the tranny cheaply. In all my searching I have not been able to find a working M5R2. I did find a 4 speed (T18?) though.
Does anyone know if it is possible to fit the speed in place of the 5 speed without changing anything else?
On a side note, I am getting desperate to fix this truck. If anyone has a transmission that would fit an 88 F150 with the 300, please let me know. I would be willing to drive anywhere within a couple of hours of southeast michigan.
