Retractable bed covers?

Rertrax or Pace Edwards?
http://www.rolltopcover.com/index.htm or http://www.pace-edwards.com/

Which do you prefer?

Are there any other manufactures out there with retractable lids?

I am looking for the best water proof cover.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen the retrax in person, but I did not give it my full attention. Pace edwards has the best installation of any rollup I have done. I have only had pace edwards, the orignal 7 years ago and my new truck has the bedlocker. Very nice covers.

Did you have a bed liner in your truck? Just curious as to the installation of it. Easy?

I have the spray in LineX. Wasn't a problem.

I'm a LINE-X dealer and I sell tonneau's.

I've chosen not to sell Pace Edwards at this time. Reports are 50/50 good/bad.

For a roll up type, we prefer either RollNLock or Retrax.

I too have Peragon and like the product. It locks and I have spray on liner (line X) in the bed also. Check out my gallery for pix. I installed it in 2003 and had only one problem since. Someone forced their way past the lock and I had to re-rivet the first panel with the lock on it so it works again. Took maybe 20 mins but then again, I had a riveter and the right size rivets. That was last year. BTW, Peragon will sell a new panel for about $65 if needed.

My Retrax is now 5 years old and I have had it on 2 trucks. Looks and more importantly works as well today as the day I installed it.

Install was easy. Keeps 99.9 percent of the water out. No problems with it at all - that includes no oiling of parts.

I also like it cause I can lock it anywhere I want to along the track. Great for keeping things in the front of the bed dry while towing a 5th wheel. I just lock it 6" in front of the hitch.
