Question '03 Need tips for reinstalling anti-rattle springs on front brake pads

I changed the front brake pads on my Exped last night. I reinstalled the K-shaped clips that insert into to the backs of the outside pads and wrap around the susension pieces that the calipers bolt to, but the end of one of the clips keeps slipping off when I drive it. I'm new to the site. I searched old posts, but all I found on the topic was a comment that the reinstallation is a PITA. I tend to agree, but I could use some practical advice. Thanks
