Dead spot/lurch on acceleration from stop

I have a sort of 'dead spot' in acceleration from a stop, or more or less from a rolling stop/start. It's intermittent. Feels like when I press on the accelerator, the engine kind of loses power for a split second and then comes right up and lurches/moves ahead like normal. Happens mostly when it is warm. Truck runs strong otherwise. At 60k, it seems like I've had this problem in the truck for at least 30-40k miles. Is this a TPS problem? I don't ever get any codes or anything.

Can you see this loss of power in your RPM gauge? How's your idle? In my opinion if loose RPMs and have a rough idle you may have a cracked egr elbow hose. Next I would assume it to be a Throttle Position Sensor problem. I don't know if you can clean a TPS, but for myself, I would try. I would just spray it internally with electronic cleaner if possible, and see what happens. I would test the cleaner on the outer surface first to make sure it doesn't melt any plastic. The molded elbow is in the rear engine compartment. It attaches below the TPS and around back towards the firewall.
Hope this at least rules out some possibilities.

Mine had the same problem there is a service bulletin reguarding this problem, it involves replacing the fuel pump. The problem usually occurs when taking off and when tank is about a quarter full, it is a fuel slosh issue with the pickup. This should cure your problem, it did on mine. If you need a part # give me your vehicle information and I will get it for you.
