Question Truck lacks power?

Well,

The truck just seams to not be up to par....normally i'm pulling hills in 5th and down to 4th at the top just before the crest.....now i'm taking the hill in 4th and going down to 3rd.....doesn't seam to be to bad on the highway at speed but as soon as i hit a hill it totally takes a crap....towing my snowmobile on the trailer feels like i have a 25 foot low-boy with a truck on it behind me.......i know something isn't right....i checked for codes and their is nothing

what to do?

thanks

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter, air filter, PCV valve? Plugs are good for about 100K miles, according to Ford. If you have a 5.4, you do not have plug wires, it is a coil on plug system (cop). If you do not have any codes, the sensors are working properly.

What gears do you have, prob 3.55 or like 3.23 or something? If your pulling a trailer with hills, opt for a set of gears! In my opinion gears are the cheapest way for big difference in power and the way your truck drives.

Didnt you just put 33's on a stock setup?? (excluding body lift). That's most likley your answer right there if this started right after putting it all on.

i did notice a difference after the tires but this is recent.....i have 3.55's in it now....going to 4.10s in the spring....but this happened in the last 2 to 3 weeks....seams like it just doesn't have the power it did.....i havent tuched anything on the truck since i bought it....prolly time for fuel filter, pcv,....it's a 4.6 L.....i know it doesn't have the power a 5.4 does but it had more power a month ago than it does now
