I have a question have you driven through any heavy rain on your way home. I have noticed with both of mine that if you are in heavy rain and water gets into the sensor this can send the temps way off of what they are. Just an idea

No, there wasn't any heavy rain or snow. There was however a decent amount of wind, but I don't think that would have an effect.

The temp reading does seem to be coming down a little each day, so hopefully it will just correct itself.

Or maybe this is my trucks way of saying go back.

If you want to know within 2 or 3%... just double the celcius number and add 30.

Wow
It's now Jan 2009 I just bought an '03 lariat super crew, there was only two thing's I wish I had #1 heated seats (that's not going to happen) and #2 was to read the temp in Celsius. (it does not show it in the Manuel) Thanks to a quick search, and then trying it myself it worked. Awesome site if ever i need too I will be back

Welcome to FTE Jack_Malibu! Glad you were able to find the information that you were looking for here on FTE. That is exactly what this forum is all about. If you look at the owners manual for your truck, you will find the information there too. It is the first statement under the EATC section.

"Temperature conversion: Press the MAX A/C and DEF at the same time (for one second) to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. The English/Metric (E/M) control on the trip computer and message center (if equipped) will not change temperature display."

Unhappy

]Hi John, actually that doesn't work. There is no max air the '05 and no where in the manual does it say anything about switching between C & F. It's the auto and the foot/def buttons.

when doing my search I found this one Press and hold Auto and Defrost together to switch from one to the other, I believe that was for an '04 so I am not sure if it is the same for you. When I did my search I punched in Celsius to Fahrenheit 2003.

I guess you could try the same Only use your year of 2005.
hope this helps.
