Talking gibson headers

I was wondering if anyone has the gibson headers on thier V10? Mine has two exhaust manifold studs broken and I dont want to spend the money on the factory stuff when I can go headers for the same or less. How do they fit, any leaking, did you see a increase in power? I currently have a K&n fipk kit, banks transcommand, and have just ordered a hypertech power programmer III for it, and figure I will see more benifits from the headers. Also does anyone know what I can get for exhaust to run from headers all the way through to replace the factory, especially the y pipe? Thanks Aaron

Try doing a search. Seems most have used Borla, Banks, Ford Racing and some others - No complaints on any that I am aware of, but try searching for more information.

I put Gibsons on my 04Ex V10 over the summer. After two weeks, had to go back over the bolts, just like the instructions said. They fit well but some of the bolts are a job getting tight. I only removed the fender well liner on the pass side and did not drop the stater as Gibson said to. Well made. line up with factory Y pipe well. They require removing the factory studs and using the supplied bolts. Getting the studs out was a job on an engine with only 14,000 on it. They come with good high temp gaskets. I will probably go over the bolts again in the spring.

Didn't seem to notice the manifolds changing the engine sound at all. The Gibson swept side cat back has a pleasant, slightly louder tone than stock but not intrisive in the cab like a flowmaster would be. In normal driving, the heders are not really felt, but when you floor it and let the engine run up (I've reprogramed the trans with a Hypertech ) it does pull very strong, moves like a 4000 pounder off the line with foot to the floor.
