Hey Buddys

So after being with FTE for a little while and well just getting around to posting in my chapter. So yea Im in Murfreesboro, TN and well I have a 93 F150 5.8L 4X4 that I just bent a push rod in yesterday (Grrr) and I just bought a 84 F250 5.8L 4X2 that needs a distributor for 200 bucks. I wanna get the 250 running and lookin good and hopefully find a donor vehical for the engine tranny or a donor for a 4X4 sub frame and axels and such. Iunno just thought I should post.

200 clams for a distributor for an 84? Sounds high to me, my 82 (same year group) I dropped in a brand new coil, duraspark II distributor, ignition module, plugs, and wires for a grand total of about a hundred.

That was four years ago, but they haven't gone up THAT much...

It stands to reason if I can get an entire ignition system in a box for half that - your distributor shouldn't be that pricey.

Unless it's an MSD, or a Mallory or something...

A stock strib ought to be no more than about $70 or $80.

A used one you should be able to trade some old parts fer!
