1948 F2 engine swap

I am looking into buying a 1948 Ford F2 engine is no good. I have a 302 out of my dads old truck and thinking about puting it in if I get the truck. Does anybody make a engine swap kit for these trucks and also a tranny cross member for a C4 thanks for any info Thanks, Michael

Michael,
Yes, go to the Chassis Engineering website: www.chassisengineeringinc.com
They make motor mounts and a transmission crossmember for this engine/transmission swap. Speedway may have some also. I haven't bought anything from Chassis Engineering, but what I hear about them is good. They also make F-1 suspension parts as well so look at their whole catalog.

You can swap almost anything into these old trucks. There are "kits" for the most common ones. Some people even swap "other brands" in.

Check out the site sponors on the lower left side of this page. Several of them have the crossmembers you would need.

I hope to someday swap in a 5.0/AOD, but won't be buying a kit to do it.
