Thumbs down Can't find dipstick hole on 84 bronco 2 (2.8)

I just bought a 1984 bronco 2 from a guy I work with. I went to check the oil before starting it, and the tube came out with the dipstick. I've spent 2 hours trying to find where it goes back in and can't. I know it's on the rear drivers side corner of the block, but I'll be da#ned if I can find it. Does anyone have a pic or a diagram? Is it under the exhaust manifold?

*edit* sorry didn't see the new users read this thread. It's a 2.8 liter v6, 4 wheel drive automatic transmission. I know this is a dumb question, but I'm getting a little frustrated.

Welcome to FTE!!!

On the 2.9 is was below cylinder 4-5, should be similar on the 2.8.

I'm sure someone with a 2.8 will be along to conform the location.

The tube is on the driver's side right next to cyl no. 6. You just need to follow the path down to where it slips into the engine. It's easier to locate from underneath the truck. There should be a lip that you have to feel above to find the hole from the bottom.
