Cup Holders

My '94 X-cab has two cup holders in the rear seating area and none in the front. As I bought the truck used could there have been some in the front that were removed, perhaps a pullout under the dash or as I have seen on Reg. cab 94 one that was hooked to the front edge of the bench seat. I have one of the after mkt. console/cup holder things that sits on the hump but it is in way when adjusting the seat and even my long arm have difficulty reaching my cup of Java in the a.m. Later, Emmett

Interesting dilemma, ercaraker. I've been pondering the absence of a "beverage" holder myself. Operating my '88 yard plow truck, with all of its unique quirks, would be so much more fun with a readily available longneck...

I'm no slave to fashion, so I'm sure that I can fix the problem quickly and inexpensively.

What seat do you have in the front?

My 94 had none, period, until I installed a 40/20/40 seat.

In my 94 F150 I bought one at walmart that sets on the dash and drilled 2 small screw holes in the floor beside the shifter it is out of the way and is in handy reach.

I found a cooler that carried about a six pack and had a spot for two beverages. It was full of tapes, knives, tools and whatever else got tossed in there and made a great arm rest.I have a bench seat of course.I dont know what happened to it but I sure would like to find a new one.

While this doesn't look like much, here's my buck for making a fiberglass center console, which will have heat/AC pass through for the rear passengers, as well as four cupholders - two front, two rear.

Unfortunately I've not had the time to slop on the fiberglass, sand, prime, paint. I will eventually.

The front cupholders are just two round holes that coffee cups fit nicely into, which I will line the edges with a thin rubber c-channel of some kind (like a window gasket, just much smaller) and the rear cup holders are actually out of a taurus, which push into a standard DIN sized opening. So once the fiberglass work is complete, I just have to dremel out a double DIN opening - one for the cup holders, one for the vents.

If you have bucket seats, bronco's have nice center consoles that are huge, and have two cup holders, though I never thought they were deep enough.

If you want to be extremely cheap, get yourself a k-mart window-mount cup holder, and cut off the top hook, drill a hole in the part that went to the hook, and screw it to the dash. Then your coffee cup is wherever you want it.

Right now I use a "starbucks" insulated plastic coffee cup which I epoxied a huge magnet on the bottom, which I just "stick" to the frame I made to mount my bucket seats, since it's exposed at the moment.

Lame, but it works.

Thumbs up cup holders

I have a 1992 flareside and it also had no cup holders .I have a full bench seat with folder down center arm rest.I found cup holders at walmart they have a vinyl strap that attaches to cup holder .The strap slides down inside the door trim panel. Ive put them next to the vent windows that I dont use.Ive had them in truck for 6 years and they work great .

Yea it looks like that was common among the f150s with bench seats sometime... my firsto ne was like that and it was a 94 ext cab also... I have another ext cab now though that is a 94 that has a captain chairs and a center seat that has them when folded down... also there were consoles availble for the middle that had them as well....

do you have a full bench seat or something? because most of the ones I've seen either have a fold down middle seat with them or a console in the middle that has them...

I have a bench seat in my F150. I got a center console from LMC and it has cup holders in it...also cutouts to hold a six pack in the console. I use the center seatbelt to hold it in place. It vinyl wrapped and has a padded top which serves as an armrest, and is built sturdy enough to hold up. It was a hefty $80 though.
