Just wondering if any of you Homer boys sucked up any Augustine ash into your engine yet.
I remember when Spurr covered Anchorage in two inches of ash. I waited a day to get a new airfilter. That turned out to be a day too late.

.....was just thinking, wasn't the last eruption Spurr in '92??. If that's the case I don't think Ford had any Turbo Diesels in their rigs then. Imagine what the ash would do to one of these new turbo diesels..... . Time to stock up on a few air filters I'd say. If you don't use them, so what. You just hang on to them and can change them out at regular intervals.

Yea, I didn't wait this time. I even stole some of the wifes pantyhose just in case.
Back then (92)I had an old 83 F150 300 I6 so I wasn't too concerned about it.
My 04 though thats a different story.
