Im putting in a replacement np-435 into my f-150. What i need to know is if i really need to buy the gasket that goes between the adapter and transfer case it self or if i can just get away with some rtv sealant. If so does anyone know of anywhere off hand to find the gasket.

bumper to bumper here does not carry it. I used rtv sealant.

AZ, ADV-A, and NAPA no help on gasket between C6 and BW1345. I bought gasket paper and made my own.

 

If the old gasket is still in one piece, it seldom is, I use it over, if not, RTV sealant works very well.

 

I went to Napa and had them search when I pulled mine. They didn't carry them at all so I just went with RTV. You might try a search at www.broncograveyard.com to see if they carry these gaskets.
