I'm looking into getting a old diesel truck and want to make my own fuel out of waste vegetable oil. There's two guys been doing it at my church for about a year, but they don't heat or wash it, and if it's going it my truck I want it to be the finest. My dad won't let me build one here at his house (I'm 20 still live at home ) anyway, is there anybody in the Dallas Area interested or already making their own fuel that wouldn't mind some help? I got some know how just no place to use it. Right now it's just a thought, I don't even have a diesel truck yet. but I really won't want to pay 2.65/gal when/if I do get one.

what is a good way to test already filtered veggie oil? the two guys in my first post have said that I could join their operation (still need to get a diesel truck) I know I need to test for water, what else?
I was thinking maybe I could get them to refine it more if I provided the equipment.

Really there is nothing to test already filtered veggie.

First I settle/dewater my veg
Second I filter down to 5 micron
Third I settle/dewater for a 2nd time
Fourth I pour in the tank and go.

As said running WVO in actuallity is really simple, don't over think it.

 

Not to be over critical but how would you know if it was dewatered if you don't test. That is about the only test that needs to be done for WVO.
