9mpg is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.9mpg is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
When I first got my Excursion it was getting 9mpg around town, hence my username, but after a couple tanks of fuel (hand checked, overhead computer was within .1 mpg!!!!) and adjusting tire pressures and new air filter and mobil1 synthetic 5w-20 I started getting 10mpg around town. stock height stock tire size and I think I have 3.73 gears. On the highway I get 15mpg at 70mph and 14mpg at 80mph.

2009 king ranch just ran 90 MPH from SLC to Southern California ( Well duh, no not the entire way, but a lot of it) and hand calculated a 12 MPG. The truck does have a tonneau but no other mods.

Shocked

I have a 2008 F250 V10 Crewcab 4.1 shortbed 4x4 stock, and I get 8.5mpg around town (light foot) and 11.5 Highway at 65mph. Some of the 13+ numbers you guys are posting blow me away. I am currently on 1/4 tank remaining and made it 180 miles of mixed driving with the first 3/4... it's a one hell of a machine but wow consumes huge amounts of fuel.
