That is some really good gas mileage. Even with a good tune-up I don't see good results. Mostly city driving though too. Highway might be a little better, but not much at all.

I get about 18mpg since my truck went on a 100 cubic inch diet. Thats with said dog. I'm hoping for another 5mpg after the 3.54 gear swap.

here is some of dads truck. The 91 F-350 has a tree fall on it. It has all there except the transmission. Was a load for the trailer but didn't strain the truck

I pulled an 18-wheeler loaded with fertilizer out of a ditch with my 67 Bronco. 302 bored 40 over, 650 Holly, high lift cam. I locked it into low range 4x4 and hooked a BIG logging chain to the truck. A cop showed up and was directing traffic, since the rig was half out on the road--he told me I'd never move it. I got all four tires smoking, then let off the gas just a little bit. Once the rubbers bit we walked right accross the highway with that truck in tow. Should have seen the look on the cop's face. I even had the roof and doors off, so the little Bronco looked especially small!

Giddy up!

Interesting choice of words there, Dale. I'm not sure that gettin' loaded will impact MPG by much, but it'd sure be some kinda fun testing that theory . . .

Didja heat up the tires so they'd get a grip, or it just worked out that way? Inquiring minds wanna know.

You got me there I didn't catch that till you pointed out .Might be a little cheaper to just hook to the trailer than paying for a DWI

Not a record by no means but a load just the same. 78 F350 460 auto 2wd and 2.5 tons of sand. gvw was 12,900. that truck never rode smoother
