I am in need of (4) used 235/85/16 tires for my dually, I recently got 3 flats in less then a week! I am out of work due to back surgery and hope to return to work soon in a few months. I have been looking around my area and haven't found any that were safe enough to use, this is my only vehicle so I use this truck to get to Dr's appointments and such.
I've bought tires at junkyards before in a pinch... you might want to call around. Though generally they stick you for the rim it's on too, but then you don't have to deal with the cost of swapping tires on your rims - only balancing.
Sometimes tire stores keep used tires that aren't too crummy looking for very little money, got a set of tires that way as well. Again, it's a matter of calling around.
