Question need stereo help, Please!!!!!!

Hello All,

I'm sure this question has been asked & answered a thousand times, but I'll ask anyway. What size is the stereo in a 2004 F350? Some people tell me double din, some people tell me 1.5 din. I guess what I really want to know is, will a double din fit? My stock syereo is 4", isn't that double din? Thanks for any help.

If it is the same as the 97-03's then it is just shy of double din. You can look in any crutchfield or online at Crutchfield and they will list what head units will fit in your truck.

I think technically it's a 1.5 DIN. Not 100% sure. But there are kits made which can take up the rest of the space so you don't have to find a "1.5 DIN head unit" The kit will incorporate a little stash place for cell phone, CD's or whatever under the HU.

BTW - Welcome to FTE, I hope you enjoy your stay here. There's also places to post for your truck and all sorts of cool stuff. Be sure to check out the rules and site announcements soon though. See ya around.

It is slightly less than double DIN, but a double DIN will fit with slight grinding to opening. There are mounting kits availible.(just a trim ring and two plastic side mounts to clip double DIN into dash opening) I put a Pioneer double DIN in my 04EX. Fits nicely.
