same problem,affects dome light switch

I have a 2001 250SD. If I close the drivers door by pushing it shut in the normal spot near the doorlatch it doesn't seem to shut as tight on the bottom, and the interior and rear cab lights stay on. If it is shut by pushing well below the latch, it is tight and the lights go off. I have seen a number of posts regarding these lights staying on, and I would guess that in many cases it is due to this. I would like to find out how to adjust the door. It seems like the only adjustment would be to try to slightly move the Nader pin, (but I'm not sure how much room there is to move, since it is held by two screws) or the upper door hinge.

2005 - 6000 miles, passenger front door is not aligned in the opening - dealer is to fix it next time it's in for oil change. Not out much, just slightly noticable.

these are just like any ohter car door just a few bolts on each hinge you can move it up down forward and back or tilt it in and out. there is a lot of movement once those bolts are loosened.

The passenger door on my 99' super cab had a wind leak and rattled on washboard roads. I removed the (non adjustable) striker that's on the front of the rear small door and slotted the holes out in it. I moved it in about 1/4" and now it's perfect. If you do this you will need to but new (metric) bolts since the old ones have a tapered head. You will need a regular type bolt head and a washer. Don't forget the lock tight. I got this idea from somebody on this site bout I can't remeber who. Anyways it works great!

I have the same issues on my '06 Crew cab. Driver door shuts easily but is noticably out a little at the bottom. Passenger door hardly ever shuts on the first attempt by someone who has not ridden in it before.

I have appt. on 1/11 at local dealer Body shop to adjust the front bumper that is almost 1/2" lower on passenger side. The service advisor told me on the phone that the Service dept, not the Body Shop, would adjust the door latches. Would be nice if Ford would do it right at the factory. PITA to have to take a $45k truck in for something so minor.

I am happy this is all I have had. 3400 miles and none of the other problems so far
