Firing order

Can anyone tell me what the firing order would ne for a 95 3.0. My book is questionable in that it says the plugs fire across from each from the front two cylinders back. In other words front two, then the middle two, and then the back two. I have never heard of a firing order like this and we are having a devil of a time getting this thing timed.
