anyone installed muth mirrors in their XLT F150? is there a certain number of factory wires or factory harness that might be there if the truck has dual power side mirrors, but not factory turn signals already?
how do you remove the factory glass?
this is for a 2003 if that makes a difference

 

I have a set in my 2003 SCrew. My truck is an XLT and had power mirrors. I pulled the side panels off and went to the power mirror connector behind the door. There are actually two wires going to the connector for the signals. So basically you just pop Muth's wiring harness in right behind the door panel and run it into the mirror pod. The mirror needs to come off. Too hard to route the wires in there otherwise.

I didn't put the glass in myself. I was a little leary of doing it and futzing it up. As it would happen, I had hail damage on my truck. I had to take the truck back a second time for some dents that didn't come out (PDR). So my dealer said they'd make it up to me. Hmmm, I wonder what he could do for me? I did the wiring, he popped the glass in.

I really like the mirrors. They'll be nice when I'm towing my camper. The only "disappiontment" I have is that they are scratched already. They can't handle an ice scraper like the stock ones can. So now I just don't scrape them. Scratch isn't real bad. But I don't want them worse.
